In partnership with Professor Jeff Hanson at Southern Utah University and North Elementary School located in Cedar City, Utah, I painted a replica mural of the school’s Drug Free Week coloring contest winner’s piece.
I involved people from the elementary school, volunteers from the community, students and friends from SUU, and various other people who simply just wanted to lend a hand.
This project taught me a lot of life skills including, communication and planning, working with others, organizing each aspect with supply lists, getting approval from different school officials, and executing every step of the project.
This is what I got. The award winning drawing from little Gracie.
So I scanned it and turned it into a black and white outlined drawing.
With a whole lot of planning + a wonderful day of painting....
and viola! it was a success!
